Time does not heal wounds. Forgetfulness over the passage of time leads to the diminishing of the wound. Which is why some people can remember the wrongs done against them decades ago, so great it seems, the injustice... But is it, really?
Then another proof that time diminishes wounds not... the re-ignition of painful memories, hideous fury and ugly jealousy in one's heart, at the appearance of a long forgotten nemesis.
The matters of the heart need to be resolved, not forgotten.
Allies are acquainted in times of ease.
The truth of the allegiance shines forth through heated quarrels and darkest hours.
Only then can those proven strong be included into the bosom of one's inner circles.
