china - hainan trip (day1)
with all the anticipation, packing and excitement...we embarked on this family trip to hainan for visiting and touring, with my cousins from my mum's side and my grandmother on 2nd june! whoots!

mei and i in changi airport's toilet. see how short she cut her hair for this trip?

with my dear cousins (pearlyn & serene) at the budget terminal.

one last shot before we leave! i think spore's budget terminal rocks! very brightly lit and spacious. (:

arrival at the best hotel i've ever seen! ((: Meahood Hi-Thai Hotel, 美华荷泰酒店. it provides free internet connection and a computer in each room. The aircon's good, the room's really clean! do rem to stay there if you guys are ever going to hainan, haikou.strongly recommended.

my uncle is the one in pink shirt with his wife on the extreme right! he's the CEO of hainan steel company! his photo is among other top 10 entrepreneurs of hainan at the international airport of hainan!!! he's the one sponsoring this entire hainan trip for ALL OF US!

see! he was at some meeting giving a speech! super cool.((:

my cousin's (uncle's daughter)house! looks cosy right??

can't believe that china has such beautiful interior designs? i was pleasantly surprised too!

ah huh! HERE COMES THE SURPRISE THEY HAD IN STORE FOR US! A KING'S FEAST FOR DINNER!
GUESS the table's diameter? it's 3m!!! gosh.

see how elated my sisters are??

the happiness hasn't died down! ((:

perfect!

my grandma and uncle. My grandma remitted money back to china often even though she was struggling to raise a family. that amount of money allowed my uncle to further his education. till today, he's still very grateful to her and sponsored this trip as his way of repaying her kindness. very touched by my grandma's generosity. we, the next generation, reaped what she sowed half a century ago.

high class fish soup! the soup was tasty and the fish meat was ultra fresh. ((:

a nutty affair..but nice!

papaya milk

beef steak. was only for picture-sake, i didn't eat it because i can't consume beef.

wheat bun. although it doesn't look appealing to the senses, it's nice eaten hot. very fluffy and soft. i can easily finish 5 of that!

traditional chinese food: corn and sweet potato. by that time, i was so full from the feast akin to a king's, so i didn't touch them.

ended the night with a good rest in the comfy hotel room. a shot with my mei before heading to slumber land. ignore my messy mop of hair!

dajie and mei. the lighting's just so right for a good sleep!
day1 ended!
