Sister just came home from a company event at Zouk, reeking of alcohol. her face and neck were in deep crimson red, flushed with all the drinking which her colleagues forced upon her. She mentioned about people lying in the toilets, puking. Mum frowned and asked how could they do that. She managed a reply, "Welcome to the working world."
all I could do was to chase her into the bathroom.
I guess that's how accountants and auditors let free of their professional stress.
Hope sister doesn't become a victim of that.
grandmother called today and I chatted with her for awhile. A part of the conversation went (in Hainanese)
Grandmother: Where's eldest sis?
Me: Out.
Grandmother: With who? Her boyfriend?
Me: haha, yes!
Grandmother: What about you? Do you have a boyfriend?
Me: No, I don't.
Grandmother: Sure or not? Maybe you're lying to me!
Me: Sure! I don't. Mmm, but on second thoughts, I think my books can be representative of my boyfriend!

Grandmother: Alright, I shan't disturb you further. Time for you to return to your boyfriend - your books!
I got her tickled. (: guess she'll tell mum about this when she calls back tomorrow.

next came, ushering at Sports Appreciation Night. Nanyang Executive Centre seems like a nice place to host such events. Roomie and myself had lots of fun catching up with each other and enjoying good food.
the end of the event has kinda spoilt by an unpleasant encounter. first was photo, then number, worst still, facebook! intention was made very clear. got me feeling irked.
roomie and i concluded that we really need to receive good attention and not just any attention.
my gosh. my mum just opened the main door at 12.30am to check if the main gate is locked. she was shocked to discover a couple sitting in an intimate position at the steps leading to my house. she quickly closed the door and gestured me to look through the peep hole. all I saw was the scurrying movements of the couple down the stairs, in their bid to 'escape'. guess we spoilt their romantic moment by the abrupt opening of the door. mmm love appearing at the doorstep. nice one. perhaps this is a sign (:

happy 17th to my baby sister! (: i remember peering over her cot when she was a baby, watching her sleep and waiting for her to wake up. i had little chances of carrying her then cause my mum was worried that I'll drop her. i'll get her baby photos on this blog another time.
and i'm loving my light headedness! no no.. I'm not on high or anything. but because the long tresses are gone! my head feels so light that i can bounce it off any time (:
was getting a little worried when it was just me with 6 freshies, along with smses, calls that people are not turning up. the anxiety grew when the 6 of them kept asking for their seniors. 2 tables reduced to 1. but it all turned out well. (: 
had a surprise find that crystal jade was selling their pastries at 20% off after 8.30pm! 6 egg tarts and 4 lao po bing for my family's breakfast tomorrow.
