just 1 more to go!
lots of stuff to accomplish over the holidays! my hands are full. (: I just can't wait!!!
holidays are love! (:
jogging in Chinese Garden is always a great time by myself, alone. taking in the wind and scenery, thinking and re-thinking about issues that perplex me, about the day, about people, about the future..and when it comes to taking the last lap, determination is what pushes me to go further.
it's an additional bonus when I meet neighbours, usual joggers and kai xuan. (:

Family gathering at grandmother's place. My cousin's daughter, Shianne, is uber cute! (: At four, she tells her 7-year-old brother "not to be a glutton" and finishes her sentence with a playful pat on his arm. Loves her smile and laughter.
Taken at first month in 2005. Grown a great deal in 4 years (:

the star fruit actually tastes sweet, especially the more yellow parts of the fruit! Totally natural with no insecticides and all! (: hopefully the 2nd one will come along soon!

After not touching portrait drawing for a year... this is the result.

Mum wanted to pluck our first home-grown star fruit tonight and savour it. Luckily I stopped her in time or these photos will not make it to the blog.
Baby sis was the one who came up with the idea of growing the star fruit when she was Primary 5. That was a good 6 years back. Despite several attempts to stunt the plant's growth by cutting it (it grows very quickly!), it remained strong and resilient. Flowers started to bloom and the very first fruit was produced. Several others came along, but along the way, they shrivelled and dropped off.
She was the only one who hung on, tall and proud, remaining a cut above the rest.
The time will come for her to leave her birthplace.
I foresee the harvesting to be done tomorrow. The fruit of labour will end up on my dessert plate.
