Project for the day: Peach roll
my first ever swiss roll! I have been wanting to make it for the longest of time and yay, finally finally, I did it! ((:
I've lots to improve on and top of the list is the rolling part. It's not tight at all with lots of spaces in between the folds. Swiss rolls should be compact & mine's a fail. Looking more like a peach strudel than a peach roll. Also, I didn't spread the batter evenly too when I poured it into the baking tray. Luckily the taste and texture saved the day! Might not have succeeded in the aesthetic aspect, but at least it tastes great!
It's being chilled now and I can't wait to serve it to mummy and pa after dinner~ baby sis and auntie say that it's yums
My future home must be equipped with an awesome oven and mixer cause I'm already envisioning all the baking that I'll be doing for my future husband and kids!
UPDATED:
Mummy and Pa gave the thumbs up! sooooo I'm going ahead to make DURIAN ROLL tomorrow! ((:

Managed to squeeze in quite a number of activities within this week!
Monday: More of me-time! Swimming in the morning, borrowing mag from library and reading them over tea at Toastbox
Tuesday: took Popo out for lunch. she loved the herbal soup noodles much
we've got the same nose!
dinner at timbre!
yay, happy with the food, place & company (:
conclusion after night at timbre: i can't drink for nuts. 1 Bulmers was all it takes to get me a little tipsy.
Wednesday: Pampering session #2 for bestie at Triple Three! we had lots of prawns for that night! loving fresh seafood and sashimi!
like the woody texture with the bright yellow sign
Thursday: baking fruit tarts (:
haha, gh's creations
loving the colours (:
was a fun fun day of baking!
Friday: Complimentary full body massage at Chrysalis Spa & tuition. Bouts of giggles and laughter here and there when the therapist kneaded her fists for an hour long.
Saturday: Tuition and got back lappie!
& my lappie went through a total makeover, and credit goes to gh! threw all the trash out from it and re-organised everything from icons, drives to bookmarks. all sites that I frequent are just clicks away. loving the keyboard protector, SD card and the wireless pink mouse he threw in as gifts (: a big thank you for the time and effort put into this overhaul!

with HSS FOC 2010 officially over, it's finally finally 2 weeks of me-time before semester starts! lots of stuff jumping about in my head & i'm trying my best to pack them neatly in. time's tight, but that's what is exciting.
pretty random, but I was looking through a blogger's photologue about her trip to Sydney and Paris with her fiancé and it got me fuzzy wuzzy inside. will want to fulfil that dream too in future, just like how she did, travelling to the most romantic cities in the world!!!
so many things to work towards to, and i've started! have you?

EDITED:
an awesome end to the week with generous foodie treats from 2 beloved ORKO seniors (:
Treat #1: HAHA. thanks Kuibao!
@ MOF, Raffles City
O for ORKO
& KUZA came along!
Treat #2: Thanks Kai for hosting dinner & booze. First to Pelican & Midori.
Evon, jiayou for D&D!
& looking forward to end this week with dinner at Putien with family!
Putien @ JP. Luckily we made reservations for dinner for the waiting crowd was insanely huge!
Jie, I'm already looking forward to your family treat next month!
I felt they could do better with larger tables for family crowds. We had to squeeze quite a bit and more than 2 dishes can't be served at once.
unique dish of the day: stir-fry yam! We all loved the combination of fish sauce & yam. gave yam an interesting twist to its usual familiar blend and flat taste (:
we could only managed a regular cup with double scoop at Anderson's later. Definitely going back to try other dishes
