Day 2:
We decided to head to Chatuchak Weekend Market and spend the entire day there. It has always been a must-go destination in Bangkok and naturally, we were excited about the shopping there.

took photos with baby sis while waiting for dajie to grab some sweets from 7-11

Off we went to Chatuchak on a tuk-tuk!

heh love this pic of my sisters (:

ARRIVED (:

Must-try: Coconut ice-cream. awesome awesome respite from the heat. Comes with free coconut drink.

Sisters enjoying their ice-cream much (:

Baby sis caught attention of this Hokkaido Milk Ice Cream where you have to suck really hard to get to the ice cream. haha it was quite an experience
Bade the folks goodbye, fixed a time and place to meet for lunch and we went on our separate ways for shopping

Pretty Jie chose this pretty straw hat for me when I told her that I'm looking for one. Isn't expensive at all, just $3.40! Suits her very well hurrrr
Teh-tarik performance! He actually placed the metal cups down for a rest but picked it up again when he saw me armed with a camera and wanting to snap a picture. so nice right (:

He went from LEFT...

to RIGHT...

to BACK...

and ended with the front pose again! Bought one cup from him but it turned out too sweet. Got him to fill the cup with more ice and it became too diluted in the end... zzzzzzz

We settled for lunch under the shade

selling pretty cupcakes for 50cents only!

This grilled fish was yummy

We continued walking around after lunch and chanced upon this performer. Quirky performer in his (or her?) geisha-ish make up and Vietnamese kind of traditional robe.

Choco banana! We couldn't help but give it a try. Turns out that it's different in a good way. The banana is frozen and coated with a layer of hard choc and peanuts. The banana was really creamy and tasted exactly like ice-cream.

was worth it because it calmed baby sis down. She was getting really irritated with the warm weather.
Street performances were everywhere:

he's really good with the ball
a great band with a good singer. Coca-cola was having this competition for bands. Could only manage this picture because the crowd there supporting them was overwhelming.

Last pic at Chatuchak before we left for our hotel to sneak in an hour's rest before heading for dinner

Baby sis and I weren't feeling that tired so we went to check out the swimming pool at the roof top. Was small and dirty. eeks.. We ended up spending an hour there HTHT-ing

Dinner was settled at Hong Min at MBK. Cheap and good chinese food that really pleased the folks (:

We ended up ordering 14 dishes!

Comfort food (: We finished every drop of it

We just had to get our dim sum fix even in a foreign land (:

Baby sis was trying to imitate the pair of eyes

Family surname (:

A spontaneous decision to catch a late-night movie: NARNIA
The cinema was awesomely huge and the seats were roomy. We stood up for the King before the movie started. Was a good movie choice because the screen made the graphics and scenery so so splendid. Even the folks were sold and had nothing but thumbs up for the show. We ended up leaving MBK at 12midnight.
