Before I start work proper, decided to spend time with baby sis engaging in cafe hopping!
Choupinette in Bukit Timah as our first stop for some oozing, yellow goodness! Egg Florentine yums tums. Sitting by the window feels very much therapeutic in a French cafe.
Headed to Upper Thomson next for desserts!
Habitat Coffee for Chocolate Truffle Rum!
Third and last stop was at Old School Delights just doors away from Habitat Coffee. It celebrates the good ol’ times that many adults now have forgotten. “All adults were once children, but hardly anyone remembers.”
We ordered the Chocolate Banana Cake, which is also their best seller, by no coincidence. It’s really good.
And there is a certain charm about chalkboards and old books.
It was a lovely day out with the baby sis. I'll miss the times when we are able to just take a weekday off for some foodie adventure when I morph into a working adult.
As an end to this post, may I encourage you to consider the fact that we don’t always have all the time we think. We need to enjoy and appreciate the time we do have with our family. Always, always make time for them.

My Red Velvet journey!
Was itching to create this very classic spin on cupcakes for the longest of time and thank God for recess week, I decided to get down to it and I did! Apprehensive about how it will turn out, especially texture-wise and I'm super duper happy that I received nothing but compliments~
Looking really naked without any frosting...
tadah, looking all magical and pretty after the finishing touches!
Oh, what love!

Sissy is back from her Taiwan trip! She made lots of progress in her work and I'm happy for her. Made my way down to the airport to pick her up.
Jie looking real happy to be back home!

Dinner time after the landing (minus papa because he's at work)
Shiok Maki treat from Jie before the outlet at Wisma Atria's Food Republic closes for renovation.
Such a joy to watch Chef Patrick work! Super charming man. *swoons*
Met the kins after their fruitful day at NATAS Travel Fair and it was Dad's 61st birthday celebration at Yum Cha!

Just recovered from a crazy flu that lasted for more than 1 week. Argh. And the bill at the Medical Centre came up to $39.60 for just 4 types of medicine and a bare 5 minutes of consultation. Even one session with my irritating tutee can't cover the cost.
But it's good to be back all recovered and energetic. Nothing beats a clean bill of health.
Just a month (minus one day) to FYP submission & it will be time for the planning of our GRAD TRIP ITINERARY! yippeedooooo.
Baked by Lace cupcakes! Worth the try.
